To provide a guideline for the management of employees exposed to communicable diseases.
POLICY:
Employees exposed, or believed to have been exposed, to any communicable diseases shall report the incident promptly to their immediate supervisor and/or the Infection Control Practitioner.
The supervisor shall document such incident and report same to the Infection Control Practitioner, for further investigation when advisable. He/she shall make appropriate recommendations to Employee Health/Human Resources Department.
