This facility has a written agreement with Hospital to accept transfer of any patient requiring a blood or blood component transfusion.
If the attending physician is a member of the medical staff at Hospital, the attending physician will make arrangements to transfer the patient with the Admitting Department or the Emergency Department.
If the attending physician is not a member of the medical staff at Hospital, the attending physician will call the Emergency Department physician to obtain authorization for transfer and give a history and condition on the patient.
