Patients are not permitted to bring non-prescribed illicit drugs or alcohol to the program or be under the influence of such substances while attending the program. Patients taking excessive amounts of prescribed medication are also in violation of this policy.
PROCEDURE:
If substance abuse is suspected by staff or admitted by a patient, the patient will be dismissed for the day. The patient may be sent home at the discretion of the physician. The patient will be escorted out of the building if necessary. Staff will arrange transportation home for the patient.
