Dilution of standard concentration formulae. If lower osmolality is required either change the formula or reduce the rate of infusion.
Addition of drugs or adjunct nutrients to standard formulae. Adjuncts shall be administered by stopping the infusion, flushing with water, administration of drug nutrients and reflush with water. Then restart the enteral infusion.
