All personnel are required to participate in fire drills. Fire drills will be conducted periodically to assure patient and employee safety, and also as required by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Fire drills will be held monthly. At least 50% of the drills will be unannounced. Each shift of personnel will participate in a drill to the extent called for in the hospital's fire plan at least quarterly in each separate patient-care building.
