Hospital shall divert patients from the Emergency Department only when certain pre-established conditions exist that negatively and profoundly impact this organization's ability to provide safe patient care.
To assure that diversion is implemented only when necessary, a list of diversion criteria, developed and approved by the Medical Staff and Governing Body of this hospital, has been established for use by Emergency Department personnel.
DIVERSION PLAN:
