Prioritization of patient registration placement request will be as follows:
All STAT requests for critical care beds will be handled first in order of receipt.
Labor and Delivery requests for admissions will be considered as a STAT request when deemed necessary by the Labor and Delivery staff members.
Requests for monitored beds will take priority over a general bed request. An exception to this would be when a general bed needs to be freed to make room on the monitored unit for another monitored patient.
