All employees are required to attend body mechanics inservice classes to be included in orientation and annually thereafter. Inservice classes will be provided by frequently enough to update all staff per the policy. Class content for body mechanics will include, but not be limited to the following:
Incidence and causes of common work related back and other on-the-job injuries
Demonstration of correct ways to walk, stand, sit, stoop, lift, bend, reach and push/pull heavy objects
