To ensure that equipment and supplies are provided to Hospice patients.
POLICY:
Medical supplies are provided by Hospice and durable medical equipment is obtained through a designated vendor holding a contract with Hospice.
PROCEDURE:
The durable medical equipment needed for an individual's support to stay at home will be obtained from a Hospice approved company as a component of the Medicare and Medicaid Hospice Benefit.
