It is the policy of Agency that medications identified as being harmful to individuals will be returned to the pharmacy of origin for return to the manufacturer.
PROCEDURE:
The Pharmacy receives notification from the FDA or other regulatory agency that a medication is being recalled.
The Pharmacy identifies clients whom are receiving the recalled medication.
The Pharmacy contacts the client, the physician and the agency to inform them of the medication recall.
The client returns the unused portion of the medication to the pharmacy. The client/family could return the unused... |
