PICC shall be flushed with 2-3 mL 100 units per mL of heparin. Flush solution every day to maintain patency.
After a blood draw, a PICC shall be flushed with:
Ten 10 mL normal saline 0.9% sodium chloride, injection only
Three 3 mL 100 units per mL heparin flush solution
NOTE:
