It is the policy of this facility that the resident must be given the opportunity to give an informed consent prior to the administration of psychotherapeutic drugs, the use of physical restraints and the prolonged use of a device that may lead to the inability to regain the use of a normal bodily function, such as nasogastric and gastrostomy feeding tubes and foley catheters.
